Dokutech at Agritechnica: Technical Knowledge, Industry and Innovation

Between 13 and 17 November, Dokutech Translations attended two key events for the agricultural industry and the engineering sector. This trip represented not only an opportunity to deepen technical knowledge, but also to strengthen the connection with international partners, enriching the experience we apply daily in our technical translation projects.

The first stop was in Damme, Lower Saxony (Germany), where we visited the facilities of Grimme, a world leader in the manufacture of agricultural machinery. During this visit, we had direct access to technical demonstrations, machinery presentations and meetings with specialised teams — a valuable experience to gain a thorough understanding of the terms and processes used by the industry.

We then travelled to Hanover to attend the renowned Agritechnica, the largest international trade fair dedicated to agricultural technology. It is at this event that manufacturers, engineers, R&D teams and experts from around the world present new developments, discuss trends and reveal innovations that are shaping the future of agribusiness. For those who want to explore more about the event, we recommend the official website of the fair:

Dokutech at Agritechnica: The importance of this event for technical translation

Agritechnica is one of the world’s leading platforms for the agricultural sector, and Dokutech’s presence in this environment reinforces our expertise in translation for the industry.

Industrial technical translation requires more than linguistic proficiency — it requires context, proximity to technology and practical knowledge.

Attending the demonstrations in person and talking directly to experts allows us to:

  • understand the real application of technical terms;
  • follow engineering trends applied to agriculture;
  • consolidate terminology used in the field;
  • ensure that translations reflect the operational and technical reality of the machines.

During the event, we also followed the news shared by leading organisations such as the VDMA – Mechanical Engineering Industry Association (https://www.vdma.org/), whose vision helps to anticipate future developments in the industrial sector.

“Technical translation gains quality when it is built on solid knowledge, direct contact with technology and proximity to specialists.”

Technical visit to Grimme and direct contact with industrial equipment

The visit to Grimme was a unique opportunity to observe agricultural machinery in operation and to deepen technical vocabulary. Meetings with the engineering teams made it possible to clarify terminological doubts, interpret complex mechanical processes and analyse components that are sometimes not fully understood from written manuals alone.

This direct contact is key to ensuring accuracy, consistency and terminological appropriateness — essential elements in specialised technical translation.

How this knowledge reinforces our work in the industry

Participating in events such as Agritechnica strengthens Dokutech’s ability to produce rigorous and contextualised technical translations.

With this kind of experience:

  • we increase terminological accuracy;
  • we improve efficiency in the handling of technical documents;
  • we reduce linguistic ambiguities;
  • we align technical vocabulary with real industry practices;
  • we provide greater security and clarity to our clients in the mechanical and agricultural sectors.

This practical knowledge is directly reflected in the quality of the translations we deliver, especially for companies whose documentation requires absolute precision.

Building relationships and international collaboration

In addition to technical knowledge, our presence at Agritechnica was an excellent opportunity to strengthen relationships with partners, align work processes and discuss specific challenges in industrial translation. Dialogue with multinational teams strengthens trust and opens doors to new collaborations.

We believe that the quality of technical translation stems from the combination of linguistic competence, industry knowledge and solid human relationships.

The experience at Agritechnica reinforces Dokutech’s commitment to technical excellence, terminological rigour and proximity to the industrial sector.

An experience that reinforces the future of technical translation

Our participation in these events confirmed the importance of maintaining direct contact with the industry. The knowledge acquired translates into an immediate improvement in the quality of our translations, reinforcing our position as reliable language partners for technological and industrial companies.

We intend to continue to be present at the next editions, in order to closely follow the trends that are shaping the future of the sector.
